My academic team examined the University of Michigan School of Information's room scheduling process and the department's current information use in the context of work practices to discover and recommend improvements for disseminating information, streamlining processes, and user interfaces.
The existing room scheduling process, while effective, needed revision and our group was asked to study the process and recommend solutions for improvement. Focusing on the request to streamline the room scheduling process our group interviewed seven individuals representing different user perspectives. To better understand and analyze the process, we produced consolidated models and created an affinity wall based on our notes and the different models of each interview. Our final report and presentation contains the findings and recommendations we developed through this process. |
