Show Us Your Hope 2010
Dexter's Relay for Life

In my capacity as Event Coordinator for Gordon Hall, I worked with the organizers of the American Cancer Society's Show Us Your Hope 2010 event in Dexter.  For the second year in a row- we managed to turn Gordon Hall purple (though in 2009 it was kind of pink!) for one night to signify hope for a cure for cancer.  In addition to this monumental task, I facilitated a day of  FUNdraising  on the grounds of Gordon Hall  to benefit the American Cancer Society.  Similar to other events I coordinate at the historic home- I communicate with the client to understand their needs to provide the necessary equipment and staff, ensure readiness of the building and grounds, answer questions and act as host on the day of the event.  This requires me to be in constant contact with the Dexter Area Historical Society (the 501(c)3 that owns  Gordon Hall) to receive approval for all types of events that occur at the home as well as maintain communication with the client and their vendors to guarantee the success of the event.
